Flower power

Last but not least, I'm wrapping up March with this finale post for Crafter's Digital Artist Center March Challenge Contest which is Petaloo Flower Contest Challenge. Must use at least 3 Petaloo flowers. I use lots, hihi. Here's my card:

Supplies: Digi image by Anne Fenton, Petaloo Flowers, Copic Sketch, MS Punch, Stickles

Pretty blooms aren't they? If only I could plant pansies and fuschias in my garden but unfortunately our climate doesn't permit me. Given the chance to fill in the flowers in the 'Hanging Basket' drawn by Anne Fenton is just so wonderful. Thank you Anne for your awesome drawing.
I printed the butterfly, cui it out, color with Copic and added stickles. I love to have butterflies in my creation :) Having said that, I am glad to say I am done with CDAC March Challenge. Thank you Priscilla for the wonderful challenges. It's fun even though I am just in time :)

I would also like to take this card into these challenges:
1. Vickie's Challenge : Anything Goes (1/2)
2. 613 Avenue : Anything Goes with Flowers
3. One Stitch At A Time : Spring
4. Live Laugh Stamp : Springtime (1/4)
5. SweetPea Stampers : Spring Colours (1/3)
6. My Sheri Crafts : Spring Has Sprung

Hugs and smiles,

The Positive Thinker

Okidoki, three and a half hours left for Positive Thinker (that's me =) to take this card into Crafter's Digital Artist Center progressive challenge. I'm so happy that my bullet train (this sweet and humble laptop) is very cooperative, lol...and you bet my typing is fastest ever. Right, here's my make for Inspiration Challenge:
Supplies: DS4J digi image, Copic Sketch, MS punch, Kaisercraft ink pad, sentiment from Ginger's House

The Challenge Inspiration is...

and here's the way I color 'Miss Mandy':
I have used a digi image drawn by Jen Lee and she is available here.

One reason I blacken the edges at Picasa is to highlight my card because I have wrongly picked the background for photoshoot, silly me, duh. I was in a hurry so.....anyway, this card round up the total of four cards entered for CDAC Progressive Challenge. Yayy, I made it. Nevertheless, there's one more I want to submit so read on my next post.

Meanwhile, I'm taking this card into these challenges:
1. Pile It On : Handmade Flowers
2. Card Makin' Mamas : No Patterned Paper
3. Paper Makeup Stamps : Ch#82 Anything Goes

See ya!

Memory Lane

Make way for me please...I have approximately four hours to post three more cards for Crafter's Digital Artist Center progressive challenge. Or should I say I only have one hour and a half as I'm heading out to take my girl to afternoon school. Time sure flies when you're having fun but this is a crazy fun indeed. I did a card making marathon since five hours ago. Call me crazy, I know I am. Here's my card submission for Easy as 1-2-3 Challenge:

Supplies: Digi image by Anna Stillwell, sentiment by Ginger's House, Copic Sketch, Momoyo florals and pp from my stash
This is my first time using Anna Stillwell's cuddlebug cuties image. 'Sierra' is so lovely and I love her dress. Thank you Anna for your cutie :)
Gotta chase another train to submit another card :) Head on to next post for more.
Hugs and smiles,

Life is short

As mentioned in last post, I shall be showcasing another four cards before April knocks the door in several hours more. This post and the next three is all about Crafter's Digital Art Center three months long progressive challenge that ends today. Mind you, three months is surely a looonng time and it takes me this moment to submit my entries, whooopppssssie :) Well here's my card for the Seasonal Fun Challenge:

Supplies: Digi Image from TLC Creations, Copic Sketch, MS punch, sentiment from Ginger's House and Kaisercraft ink pad

I love this quote. I still have two paths more to go until I complete the CDAC progressive challenge. Check out my next post if you like. Thanks for visiting.

'To have and to hold' ~ DS4J New Digistamp

Hi there! Digistamps4Joy has released a lovely new digi image today entitle
'To have and to hold' designed by Jen Lee. The image is available in the DS4J Shop

I have designed a napkin fold card which I haven't done for so long and I think it suits the theme. What do you think? I hope my work gives you an inspiration to fold cheerfully. My napkin fold tutorial is available here.

Supplies: Digi Image from DS4J, Copic Sketch, MS boarder punch, floral embellishments by Petaloo, Kaisercraft sentiment stamp & ink pad, bridal stamp by Kodomo No Kao and others from my stash
My first intention was to color her gown in different shades of light grey and white {I call it moon shadow} but as I went on stamping the corners, my brain sparkle so bright I decided to give it a new perspective than the normal white wedding dress. I nervously picked Copic E00 and E02 and give it a shot. If it doesn't meet my satisfaction, I can print another image for sure :) If that wasn't enough, as I felt she looks like wearing a skin tone color, my brain told me to stamp it up with similar bridal stamp for the corners. Not bad I said...but knew I had to add something else so out came those flowery sequins. Now I think I can somehow understand the designers who work like mad for Project Runway!

Off I go now to enter these challenges :)
1. Frosted Designs : Scallop
2. Paper Makeup Stamps : Fancy Fold (2/2)
3. Make It Monday : Ch#133 Anything Goes (2/2)
4. Pause Dream Enjoy : Ch#6 Anything Goes (3/3)
5. The Paper Shelter : Ch#105 Anything Goes
6. Whoopsi Daisy : Use A Digi
7. Crafters Digital Art Center : Anything Goes
8. Lady Anne's Challenges : Friday Sentiment #8~Anything Goes (1/2)

Until then, I'll be back very shortly. Have four more cards to showcase next, I'll see. Thank you for visiting and have a great Sunday with your loved ones. I know I do.

Celebrate

Hello everyone! DigiStamps4Joy is currently having mid-way challenge and the theme is Celebrating Easter. This is open to your interpretation on how you celebrate Easter time, whether it is collecting eggs in the garden, chasing the bunnies, or a Christian connection.

Growing up, I remember my school friends who are Christian would go to church with their family but I don't remember if they go for egg hunting. It is not really a big tradition here in Malaysia but it's rally wonderful to learn about their customs and cultures.
So, I have made a card {and can't decide who will receive it, lol}. The digi image I used is Anemone Corner designed by Janel/Country Crafts and you can get the image HERE.

Supplies: DS4J digi image, Kaisercraft patterned paper, Copic Sketch, Tim Holtz distress ink, Prima flower, alpha metal from Paper Craft magazine freebie and others from my stash

I wish to see your creation at DS4J while I take this card of mine into these challenges :)

1. Digi Darlas : Challenge #55 Flower
2. Paper Makeup Stamps : Challenge 81 Fancy Folds
3. Squigglefly : Challenge #12 Anything Goes
4. 613 Avenue : Challenge #12 Anything Goes

First Love

My sister asked me three times in a row if I have completed my project for Scrap 365 March sketch challenge. I answered with a "yes I scrap it in my head", hihi. Finally today I lay the imaginary page on Bo Bunny patterned paper. This is my first entrance at Scrap 365. Many times I often visit the site and drool over their sketches hoping to scrap someone but never do. Well not until I snapped this photo of my husband last month and knew this is the time to get messy with paints again and partake in the challenge. Erm, wish me luck =)

The sketch by Kim Woods:
Materials used: Bo Bunny patterned paper, StazOn, Tim Holtz distress ink, Kaisercraft stamp, Tattered Angel template, Carla Craft punch, Martha Stewart punch, water color, Crop-a-Dile, eyelets, dymo tape, die cut and twine

Some close-up pictures:
The quote is by yours truly...that's me {{{smile}}}

In the making process...
I use a piece of white acid free drawing block for matting and splash it with drops of tea.
I brush the edges with water to damp it for easy distress. Next I apply StazOn ink pad along the edges, stamp it and sponge up using template.
My Afza is my scrapping companion but I'm often defocus when she joins me at the table, pfft!
On that note, I thank you for dropping by. I'll be back soon
Hugs and smiles,
