Always XOXO @ STAMPlorations

{My DT work for STAMPlorations}

Hello there friends! Wish you the best time of year with your loved ones. I am having a great time with my mother and my four children here in my hometown Melaka. We do so much together, visiting places and enjoying the school holidays while it last.

Let me now take you to this tag made for TAGplorations December 'All About Christmas' challenge with glitter as the optional twist.
Some up-close pictures:

I simply tear off patterned papers into strips and distressed the edges with scissor then I glued them down side by side.

That's it for today.
I hope you will join us in this month's challenge

Be Ready To Soar @ STAMPlorations

Hello friends! Here is me again bringing the latest mixed media project for STAMPlorations.
I wish to share with you a little art work done on a note book cover using very little medium with paints to bright it up.

Here it is:
To start with, I gesso'd the cover thinly and after it is primed entirely, I let dry a while.
Next I tackled modeling paste through Foiled Again stencil to form the design I love. This is definitely one of my favorite ARTplorations stencils and have used it several times in different projects.
I stamped this Little Birdie from STAMPlorations stamp set on acid free drawing paper and cut it out neatly. With pva glue, I stick it down after feeling satisfied with the composition as I wanted some space on the left side to stamp the sentiment.
Then I started adding colors and blended two colors at first before I added a bit of yellow and lastly black for dramatic look. For additional interest, I stamped random patterns from STAMPlorations Artsy Border Maker stamp set.
That's it for now.
I hope you are inspired by my artsy note book cover and will start throwing paints any time soon.

Mixed Media Tag Tutorial

Hello friends! I am back again with another fun and easy tutorial to share with you today. I created a minimalist mixed media tag and hope it will inspire you to create yours as well.
First of all, I used tea bag sachets for the foundation in the background of a white card stock. I always keep them every time I make tea and I have accumulated a lot already so it's time to use them up.

To see more how to, please head on to STAMPlorations blog and have a see at my tutorial in detail.
I sure hope you are happy with my easy and minimalist mixed media tag tutorial this time.
I do hope you will give it a try and why not send in your creation to mixed media December challenge. I shall see you there.

Until next time. Have a happy holidays with family and friends.

ARTplorations Stencil Blog Hop @ STAMPlorations

{My DT work for STAMPlorations}

Hello everyone! It's that fun time blog hop again at STAMPlorations and this time we bring you our very own talented lady in our design team, Sanna Lippert who joins STAMPlorations stencil designer and designed fabulous stencils for you to use and enjoy in your own creations.
Don't they look gorgeous?
I can't help falling in love with the gorgeous stencils Sanna has designed.
The day I received the stencils from Sherry Russ, I knew exactly what to create.
Here they are:
As for these artist trading cards below, I used Trees 1 stencil to make some random patterns using modeling paste. You can check out how I applied tea bag sachets for the background
As for these artist trading cards, I used Leaves 1 stencil. Firstly I applied modeling paste through the stencil and let dry before I outline the leaves with black gel pen for interest.

~~~ooOOoo~~~
I am so excited to hear your comments about Sanna Lippert Designs either here or at STAMPlorations blog. Nevertheless I am thankful with the love you leave behind on both blogs and thank you so much for taking the time to hop.
All the best of luck to each and everyone of you.
Just in case I have not able to approve your comment yet, that is because I am travelling back to my hometown as you read me right now. My family and I will reach Melaka tomorrow.
Advance thank you to you if you also decided to follow my blog while hopping.
I shall get in touch with you again.
Have a good day and enjoy hopping.
TAGs @ STAMPlorations
{My DT work for STAMPlorations}
Happy Tuesday everyone. I have been busy since Sunday trimming the ivy over my front fence and pulling weeds. I love the trimming part but really hate the weeding part. The job has to be done anyway so no complaining eh {smile}. Wonder what you have been up to in your part of the world? Mind sharing?
Okay, here's a quick reminder to let you know that if you love tags, this post if just for you. Today we at TAGplorations design team brings you a few more inspirations and invite you to create your tag/s and play along with us before November bids farewell. Altered Pizza Box @ STAMPlorations
{My DT work for STAMPlorations}
Hello friends! Happy Sunday and hope today is bright and happy.
I'm back again with an altered project designed for STAMPlorations Sunday Stencil.
I used pizza box to decorate a mixed media element using products from STAMPlorations.
I usually used bold and vintage colors in my projects and this time I decided to use subtle colors for a change.
I have a lot of close-up pictures to share with you. Please enjoy...
 Yes you guessed right. I used tissue serviette of roses to adhere on the box surface with clear gesso for extra element and texture.
 I used butterfly and sentiment stamps from trendy butterflies #2 stamp set that is available at the store.
 I lightly gesso'd the roses and after it is dried, I highlighted the roses with brown watercolor pencil.
Forest of leaves design seems perfect to decorate the corners so I applied modeling paste through the stencil for random leaves pattern.
One of my favorite STAMPlorations stencils is crisscrossed. Its diamond shape is so attractive and to achieve this design, I simply dab brown ink pad over the stencil to form diamond patterns.
 Overall the subtle colors gives me much satisfaction when I finished the project.
More behind the scene shots:
 I used Rangers ink to highlight the edges.
 The inside is simply covered with patterned papers after I painted the box with white paint.
 I used brown card stock to cover up the back part.
 And here's the box once again:
I hope you get some inspirations to upcycle and altered whatever you find interesting and usable in your house.
Last but not least, I wish to play along in these challenges:
1. Scrapki Wyzwaniowo : Hexagons
Until then. Thank you for dropping by and see you soon.
Hugs and smiles,
