Spring Coffee Lovers Hop @ STAMPlorations

Hi and welcome to Spring Coffee Lovers Hop
brought to you by Amy Tsuruta and Chaitali Narla and STAMPlorations
is one of the sponsors offering fabulous prizes just for you.

The designers created fabulous projects using amazing stamps that I am sure you too will fall in love with just the way I do {smile}. I'll be glad to have you over at STAMPlorations blog and join us in the spring coffee lovers hop.

I made two 13x13cm cards using Framed Coffee for Two and A Cup of Roses stamp sets.
I love making my own backgrounds so these cards used ARTplorations stencils available in the shop.
I used masking technique to stamp the background several times and leave them as is except the focal point is colored with Faber Castell watercolor pencils.
The stencils used to create the background is square links.
Just like the card above, my next card is also a minimalist concept using texture paste, stencil, watercolors in the background and light up the stamp with watercolor pencils after fussy cut.
This is one of my favorite stamps!! I just love roses☺and the sentiments are pretty neat.
The background was created with old rose prints stencil using texture paste.
 That's it for today. Hopefully you get some inspirations from my minimalist cards.
I sure hope you will enjoy your hop and stand a chance to win great prizes.

~Good Luck~

Brave to Fly @ STAMPlorations

{My DT work for STAMPlorations}

Hi there folks! It's my turn today to present you an inspirational art journal project for STAMPlorations Stencil Sunday feature. My fellow teammates created awesomeness with hope to kick start your mixed media projects right away. It may look complicated and at some point tedious and seems to be needing different tools to create but actually they don't. All you need is effort, creativity and with little basic art tools and stuff you can get around the house, you will come out with something you can really do it. Try it!

This is a second page art journal made in a mini-envelope-album. After stamping the butterflies, I figured the next pages will also be filled with butterflies. Yes, why not? I love butterflies and this art journal album will feature the beautiful creatures in different shapes, colors and sizes.
More close-up pictures:
 I used two ARTplorations stencils; Delicate Links and Crisscrossed to build up the texture with modeling paste.
 I stamped the butterfly directly on the background and filled it up with Faber Castell watercolor pencils.
 I always use watercolors to paint my background and for this project I decided to combine shades of green and black.
The sentiment is below is very motivational, don't you think?
I'm playing along in these challenges:
1. Mixed Media World : Anything Mixed Media Goes
2. Come and Get It : Anything Goes
3. Love To Create : #6 Anything Creative/Mixed Media Goes

Let us all hope we are brave enough to fly and probably higher to achieve our goals.
Until I see you again real soon, have a pleasant Sunday and take care.
Thank you for dropping by my friends.

Hugs and smiles,

New Digi Release @ DS4J

{My DT work for DS4J}

Hello everyone and a happy Sunday.

Let me now take you to my artsy world where I have created a card with a new digital release from Digistamps4Joy. Click here to visit the shop.
My card featured a digistamp named Flower Bowl
A few close-up photos:
I tucked in punched flowers and leaves underneath the focal point and added cut out printed butterflies.
 I colored the flower bowl with watercolor pencils.
 Splash of white paint for additional interest is something I adore.

1. Love To Scrap : #95 Anything Goes
2. OLLCB : #224 Spring Is In The Air
3. Simon Says : Handmade Flowers
4. The Flower Challenge : #6 Anything Goes with Floral

I hope my card will give you some ideas to add digistamp on your project along with additional elements to make it special.

Blessings @ DS4J

{My DT work for DS4J}

Hello there! I hope everyone is doing well and healthy. I kept myself positive in the garden last week so I can clear off the weeds and re-pot some palm trees. There are still many agendas need doing on my lawn and my aim is to manage it well this school break. I'm pretty excited every time I talk about gardening. Oh yes, I also planted a papaya tree and brinjals on the ground. So far they grow absolutely well. More seedling job to deal with this coming this Saturday before we go for wedding in the neighborhood.

Enough blab. Let me get you to my card creation I did as part of my dt work for Digistamps4Joy and here's to remind you that the monthly challenge will end in two weeks time so do get your Anything Goes entries into the link if you wish to play along. The optional twist is using washi tapes or bunting. Sounds easy eh! My teammates have created great cards for more inspirations. Click here
I used a sentiment by Charles Dickens for the focal point. Click here.
This card contains many layering with distressed edges. Two things I love best {smile}.
I wish to participate in these challenges:
1. Crafty Creations : #337 Always Anything Goes
2. The Crafty Addicts : #34 Anything Goes / Add A Sentiment
3. Simon Says : Bit O' Green

I hope you like my card for today. I shall be back again soon with a few more cards to share with you next. Until i see you again soon, thank you for dropping by.

Mixed Media ATCs @ STAMPlorations

{My DT work for STAMPlorations}

Hello everyone! I am back to share with you a recent project I did as part of my design team project for STAMPlorations. This time we bring you a month long mixed media challenge throughout March and we would like to see any form of mixed media projects you wish to create but not cards. My teammates have created awesome projects with hope will inspire you to create yours. Take a visit at this link to view them.

I made a set of ATCs with blue and purple in the background and shined the butterflies with colors.
More close-up pictures:
 I stamped Trendy Butterflies 2 on drawing paper and fussy cut the beauties. Next they were colored with watercolor paints using aqua brush. It was so much fun coloring these gorgeous creatures.
 I created a line of bubbles by stamping the stamp repeatedly in different motion with Artsy Border Maker stamp set. My little girl told me they look like ants walking to a destination!
I begun my work by applying modeling paste through Plaid Maker ARTplorations stencil on two pieces of 200gsm acid free drawing paper before I brush down with handmade clear gesso. Once dried, I started playing with watercolors. Yes, I always use watercolors in my art projects.
Taking my ATCs into these challenges:
1. Double D Challenge : Things That Fly
2. ATC Around The World : Everything Goes with option Angel

That's it for today. Hope you like my ATCs and I hope some day I will have time to join ATC swap group. Must be fun I believe? Are you doing ATCs and a member of swap group that you would kindly recommend me? Thanks in advance.

Until I see you again soon. Thank you for dropping by.

TIME OUT 3rd Year Celebration

Hi everyone! I am so excited to share with you my happiness to be a part of
TIME OUT Challenges party. Thus STAMPlorations is joining in the celebration too and surely you don't want to miss this opportunity because Shery the owner of STAMPlorations is very generous to give you a great prize.

TO is celebrating her 3rd year in the blog challenge world and the theme given these two weeks is Love and/or Friendship with the optional twist of 'spotlight stamping' where you add color only to one raised area of your image.

So this is what I came up with:
I chose Love theme and didn't think I should miss the spotlight twist either so I highlighted the heart with red paint.
If you look closely, I used one of the newest stencils Hidden Hearts available at STAMPlorations shop.
I wanted a batik look on my card so I find the stencil is perfect to realize my intention.
 I used black paint and let it run over the raised pattern by spritzing water. When dried, I used white paint to make dots randomly.
I would also like to play along in these challenges:
1. Time Out Challenges : Love/Friendship with optional twist Spotlight Stamping

Do drop by at STAMPlorations blog to get more inspirations and ideas from my design teammates and link up your cards at TIME OUT before time runs out.

That's it for today. I shall be back pretty soon. Thank you for dropping by.

Artsy ATCs @ MHKDesigns

{My DT work for MHKDesigns}

Hi everyone! March is here! I know my planner for this month is already filled up with list of things to do before deadlines so the keyword is busy {chuckle}. Today I am back to reveal my new creations for MHKDesigns March challenge.
Be sure to visit the challenge blog to look at the designers' beautiful creations using vintage digistamps that are available here.

I made a pair of Artist Trading Cards in my usual artsy style.
 I used blue and yellow tempera paste to start with by coloring the 200gsm acid free drawing paper. When dried, I applied texture paste through a stencil to create brick wall. I'm such a sucker for bricks {heart them so much}.
 The Get Well Flower digistamp can be purchased here. I fussy cut the flower after printing it and carefully adhere it on the bricks.
 You probably know by now how much I love butterflies. This blue beauty wings is a freebie I saved from Maremi Cafe at facebook.
 I always used watercolors in my project so these were combination of brown and black for the bricks.
I love love love Laura Ingalls Wilder whose books of The Little House of the Prairie were my favorite read at the school library as much as I love watching it on television in my childhood. This is her beautiful sentiment I love telling my children.
Come play along in the March Challenge. You can use the mood board below for inspiration in your creations if you don't use MHKDesigns digistamps and digipapers.
I wish to play along in this challenge:
1. Creates and Makes : Anything Goes / Vintage

That's it! I thank you for visiting me and wish you good health and be happy always.

Hugs and smiles,
